Emergency expert to visit next month

Emergency planners in the Isle of Man will learn more about dealing with major incidents, from a world renowned expert next month.

Steve Gregory has been a tactical adviser in the aftermath of international disasters, including the Asian tsunami and terrorist bombings in Egypt and London.

He will share his experience and expertise at a three day conference - to be attended by members of the emergency services, government agencies, private enterprise and voluntary organisations - at Mount Murray, from October 13th.

Home Affairs Minister Adrian Earnshaw says Mr Gregory also played a key role in investigations into numerous incidents in the United Kingdom, including rail and air crashes, fires and floods (audio file attached):
