No decision on under 16s drinking

by isleofman.com 29th September 2008
No political consideration has been given to a proposal to allow 16 year-olds in the Island to drink in pubs.

That's from the Home Affairs Minister Adrian Earnshaw.

The Licensing Forum is currently looking at measures to try to reduce incidents of young people drinking in public.

Allowing 16 year-olds to drink in a safe and controlled environment is one of several issues under consideration.

Discussions are said to be at a very early stage.
