Judgements online from this week

A new website offering full details of judgments made in the Manx courts will be launched on Wednesday.

Judgments.im is free and, at the click of a button, users can read or download full transcripts of written or 'handed-down' decisions.

These are judgments in complex cases, where a Deemster interprets the law, clarifies a point of law, or where the reasons behind a decision need to be explained.

The service will be a valuable tool for advocates, who will use the 'search' option to find, review and compare cases more quickly than in the past. But it's also open to any member of the public.

First Deemster Michael Kerruish says a huge amount of information will be available (audio file attached):
