Barclays chief strategist to visit Island

by isleofman.com 30th September 2008
Barclays Capital’s Chief Sterling Strategist Paul Robinson is visiting the Isle of Man to talk about the future of the global financial markets.

Earlier this year, Paul (pictured) gave a presentation to clients and staff of Barclays Wealth to which the response was extremely positive.

‘We are delighted Paul has found time in his extremely busy calendar and look forward to welcoming him back to the Isle of Man to share his expertise with our clients, intermediaries and colleagues,’ said Peter Sutton, Associate Director of Barclays Wealth Treasury in the Isle of Man.

The turbulence of global financial markets has been well reported. The instability following the collapse of Lehman Brothers, one of the top investment banks in the US, has led to a dramatic increase in uncertainty facing the global economy and asset price movements.

The seminar, hosted by Barclays Wealth Treasury, will be led by Mr Robinson and will review the current climate and address future implications.

The lunchtime seminar, which will take place on Tuesday, October 14, is for invited guests.

A number of places are still available. You can find out more by contacting sara.kniveton@barclayswealth.com or telephone 681976.
