Wiggins reveals Cav snub

by isleofman.com 2nd October 2008
Cycling ace Bradley Wiggins has admitted in his autobiography he hasn’t spoken to Mark Cavendish about the pair’s disappointing result at the Olympics.

Both cyclists were hotly tipped to win the Madison after their pre-Beijing successes, but couldn’t turn that potential into a gold medal.

Wiggins, in his new book due out tomorrow entitled In Pursuit of Glory, says physically he wasn’t ready for the race after winning two golds.

A passage from the book describes how the duo were left frustrated, as John Moss reports: (audio clip attached).
