Black swan looks for a mate

by isleofman.com 2nd October 2008
A blue lobster found love when he swam into Manx waters and now a rare black swan from the Island is hoping he can do the same.

Hampton is a lonely six year-old male looking for a young female to be his mate for life and to share his lake and island.

Hampton's human friend Les describes what he's looking for: "I think she should be good looking and faithful. He's got a really nice lake he can take her onto, with an Island in the middle.

"Whether the others are all paired off together and there are no spare females, I don't know the answer to that, but I'm sure there's someone who might be listening who could help and make him very happy."
