St John's fightback; Skillen hits six

CFS Division Two leaders St John’s produced a second half fightback to show their character on Saturday.

They trailed the division’s surprise package, Ramsey Youth Centre 2-0, before coming back to win 4-2, thanks to goals from Michael Pearce (two), Andy Chadwick and Louis Finn.

Mark Grotty and Andy Black scored a goal in each half for Youth Centre to set up hopes, for a while, of a shock.

Castletown stay in second after an exciting five-goal second half at the Stadium against Marown.

Ashley Sansbury, Alex Crawley and Jack Charmer notched the Town goals with Luke Wosser and Jeremy Lovett on target for the battling visitors.

David Skillen underlined why he’s the most prolific striker in the division with a double hat-trick as Pulrose demolished bottom club Ronaldsway 12-1.

Mark Walmsley (two), Barry English, Jay Wood, Richard Sharman and Adam Store netted the others in the rout.

Joey Barr scored the Rockets’ consolation.

Aaron Costain hit a hat-trick as Foxdale secured an impressive 6-2 home win against the Police.

Gavin McLaughlin, Willie Woods and an own goal completed their scoring line-up.

Malew overcame Douglas and District 4-2 at Clagh Vane - Craig Marsh, Mike Oates and Paul Witley among their scorers.

James McIlhagga and Jamie Corrin netted for D&D.

Onchan were 5-2 winners at Northern Athletic.
