Recognition for young musicians

The Island's young musicians and their teachers have won top-notch recognition.

The Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester is one of the UK's most prestigious music schools - and its 'top brass' are impressed at the number of highly talented students from the Island winning places.

Not only that - but Head of the Music Service Maggie Richardson has been offered a place on the advisory panel at the college Centre for Excellence in Teaching.

Maggie (pictured) says visitors from the Manchester school have been bowled over at the standard of music here (audio file attached):
