'Hoggery' to open in December

The former Cattery in Noble's Park will re-open as a training centre and base for motorsport rescue personnel, before the end of the year.

The Rob Vine Fund has taken over the building from Douglas Corporation - at a pepper-corn rent - and has spent around ?40,000 on the conversion.

It will be known as the "Hoggery", after the Phil Hogg Motorsport Rescue Unit, which will be one of its main users.

Chairman of Douglas Council's Commercial Lettings Committee, David Ashford (pictured), is very pleased with the work which has been done:
