It's National Poetry Day!

Throughout Britain lovers of creative writing will be marking National Poetry Day today, and Manx fans are no exception.

The event celebrates poems and poets old and new, and encourages amateur writers to produce their own material.

Local fans can follow modern poets who regularly publish work on the Island, or classical writers such as TE Brown.

Jeff Garland from the Isle of Man Literary Society suggests other ways to get involved in the Day (audio file attached):
