A meeting in Douglas has heard how a man from Moscow recently deposited a large sum of money with Kaupthing Singer and Friedlander.
Steve Thomas transferred ?400,000 to the Manx branch of the bank, which went into liquidation today.
He told Manx Radio plans to move his family to the Isle of Man were now on hold.
Mr Thomas is less than impressed with the Island's financial authorities and the bank itself, and found today's meeting, attended by bank staff and depositors, a very frustrating experience:
