Motorcycle death inquest today

An inquest in Douglas later this morning will hear the circumstances surrounding the death of a visiting motorcyclist from Lincolnshire.

Twenty-three year old Liam Antony Parrish of Louth passed away in the intentive therapy unit at Noble's Hospital, two days after being involved in an accident at Alpine Corner.

The accident happened on the Tuesday of TT week and led to the closure for nine hours of the stretch of the course between Kirk Michael and Ballaugh.

Today's resumed hearing will be conducted by the Coroner, Michael Moyle, from 10 o'clock.
