Steam Packet appoints new director

The Steam Packet Company’s appointed David Findlay as its new director of marketing and communications.

David will be responsible for the Company’s strategic and tactical marketing plans.

He said: ‘I am delighted to be joining the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company at this exciting stage of its development, especially with a new vessel joining its fleet next year.

‘The Steam Packet Company impacts on every facet of Island life creating a highly varied and interesting opportunity. I look forward to the challenges facing the business and sharing in its progress.’

David moved to the Island in 1994 and lives in Douglas with his wife and two children.

He joins the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company from Hansard International, where he headed up marketing operations.

Chief Executive Mark Woodward said: ‘I am delighted David has joined our team. He is a highly motivated and experienced individual and I am sure his contribution to the business will be invaluable going forward. With many exciting projects on the horizon we are pleased David will play a key part in our future success.’
