The long awaited review of the Isle of Man's bus network and timetables will begin later this month.
The six phase study will take around 18 months to complete.
Graham Bell reports (audio file attached):
The review will involve a survey of passengers and a detailed examination of the entire network and timetables.
A draft proposal will then be put forward, followed by public consultation, after which a new strategy will be put into practice.
Malew and Santon MHK Graham Cregeen (pictured) is the recently appointed political member with responsibility for buses and heritage railways.
He wants the views of as many bus users as possible, to help shape the future provision of services.
Buses run 364 days a year in the Isle of Man and the average number of journeys in a 12 month period is 4.5 million.
