Technology has given an added dimension to a new heritage and nature walk through the Island's capital.
The Douglas Trail has been launched by the Douglas Development Partnership.
The six-mile walk is presented as a podcast on mp3 players available from the Isle of Man Welcome Centre, as is a free Trail leaflet featuring a map and details of each point along the route.
The trail was inspired by the 2006 Britain in Bloom competition, the theme for which was biodiversity, and takes in a whole range of features, including glens, the shoreline, coastal cliffs, rivers and valleys, as well as some of the capital’s most historic buildings.
It complements the Partnership’s series of three heritage walks - Maritime, Town Centre and Promenade.
