Profits of nearly ?2 million have been reported by Isle of Man Post.
The annual accounts for the last financial year show a figure ?1.98 million, an 89 per cent rise compared to the previous 12 months.
The figures, which will go before Tynwald next week, are released at the end of the first full year since the organisation's new strategic plan was implemented.
Chairman Alan Crowe, who succeeded Pamela Crowe shortly after the end of the financial year, says the results are encouraging and reflect the hard work of all members of staff.
He says the strategic plan recognised the need for 'ongoing innovation in relation to products, and increased customer responsiveness in a changing environment'.
