KSF chairman explains absence

The chairman of collapsed bank Kaupthing Singer and Freidlander in the Isle of Man says he wasn't snubbing investors by staying away from their public meeting last week.

Several hundred angry depositors met at the Gaiety Theatre last Thursday, just hours after the bank was declared insolvent, demanding to know what had happened to their money.

The former Chief Minister said the KSF Board met constantly throughout last week to try and resolve the situation - and his efforts were best used there (audio file attached):
