Former Lord Chancellor Charles Falconer (pictured) will be the guest speaker at the second annual Caroline Weatherill Memorial Lecture next month.
The lecture, on Friday, November 7, will be held at the Claremont Hotel in Douglas at 1pm.
Organised by the Isle of Man Law Society in conjunction with the office of the High Court, the subject of Lord Falconer’s lecture will be ‘Constitutional Law Reform’.
The annual lecture remembers Isle of Man advocate Caroline Weatherill who died tragically in 2006 shortly after giving birth to twin daughters.
Her death cut short a family life with husband Lawrence and their two
sons Thomas and Theo, as well as an extremely promising legal career as an associate at Dickinson Cruickshank.
