Ploughers gear up for season

Skilled ploughmen have been showing off their ploughing skills at an event in Cregneash.

A Horse Ploughing Day took place over the weekend.

It was all about the traditional methods with horses used to carry it out.

Andrew Metcalfe, the museum site manager at Cregneash, says it's a dying art (audio file attached):

The ploughing match season starts on Saturday with the Royal Marown Ploughing match at St Marks.
