Fireworks safety campaign launched

It's less than a month until bonfire night, which means it's time for the launch of this year's Fireworks Safety Campaign.

The campaign is organised by the Office of Fair Trading, the Department of Home Affairs, the Isle of Man Constabulary and the Fire and Rescue Service.

Their aims are to give advice to anyone using fireworks this year and also to ensure all retailers are selling and storing fireworks appropriately.

OFT chairman Bill Henderson says they need to emphasise the dangers of fireworks (audio file attached):
