A Manx woman is set to fulfil a childhood dream by appearing as a contestant on her favourite television programme.
Gemma Green from Port St Mary fought off thousands of other hopefuls to win a place on the Gladiators.
The series on Sky is presented by Ian Wright and Kirsty Gallagher and features events such as Duel, Powerball and the Eliminator.
It's billed as one of TV's toughest challenges and contestants are bidding for a ?50,000 prize.
Filming begins next month and Gemma says during the audition process she realised she was going to be up against some very fierce competition (audio file attached):
