Green light for Farmhill apartments

by isleofman.com 15th October 2008
A planning U-turn means 12 apartments can be built in the grounds of the 18th century manor house, Farmhill Manor.

Heritage Homes’ application was initially rejected by planners but that decision’s now been reversed at appeal.

Residents had been campaigning to stop the move with the help of South Douglas MHKs Bill Malarkey and David Cretney (both pictured).

The company wants to re-develop the site but was last month told it can’t remove Farmhill Manor from the Protected Buildings Register.
