Encouragement for recycling scheme

The co-ordinator for Isle of Man Friends of the Earth is encouraging people to take part in the recently launched Kerbside recycling scheme.

Residents in the Braddan, Douglas and Onchan areas are being asked to separate their newspapers, magazines, glass and plastic bottles.

The launch was attended by Department of Local Government Minister John Shimmin and Dudley Butt who is the member with responsibility for Waste Management.
