Depositor lifted after UK gov intervenes

A depositor with Kaupthing Singer and Friedlander says he’s encouraged by the news the UK Government will represent the Island in discussions with the Icelandic Government over the Kaupthing collapse.

KSF went into administration a week ago after its parent bank was nationalised.

Gerald Ivey from Laxey is waiting to hear if he’ll recover his savings from his account.

However, he says he’s heartened by the latest stance (audio file attached):
