Emergency exercise at airport

If you're flying in or out of Manchester Airport today (Thursday) you may see the emergency services out in force - but there's no need for concern.

The authorities are holding a full scale training exercise involving a scenario in which a 747 freighter aircraft has crashed on landing and broken up on impact, spilling fuel on the runway.

Russell Craig from Manchester Airport says they will be using people and state-of-the-art equipment in the exercise audio file attached):
