Duke of York in the Island today

The Duke of York will make a flying visit to the Isle of Man today (Friday).

Prince Andrew will visit Swagelok in Douglas this morning, be the main speaker at a Government hosted lunch with Island business leaders and visit the Emergency Services Joint Control room this afternoon.

Before he leaves, he will open the Manhattan Aviation Training Centre at the Freeport at Ronaldsway.

The owner and CEO Darren Gates is behind today's royal visit.

Prince Andrew is due to leave the Island at 4.30 this afternoon.
