Island businesses to benefit from Royal visit?

The Duke of York's visit to businesses in the Isle of Man may pay dividends in the long term.

The view of the Chief Minister - after the Duke's whistle-stop tour of the Island yesterday (Friday).

The royal visitor opened a new warehouse at Tromode-based manufacturers Swagelok, gave a speech to government and business leaders at lunch and was shown around the new Manhattan Aviation Training Centre at the airport.

The day also included a visit to the emergency services joint control room.

Tony Brown says the Duke came in his role as a UK special envoy to promote trade and industry.

And he's hopeful that can be used to promote Island businesses (audio file attached):
