Inquests to conclude next month

by isleofman.com 20th October 2008
The final chapter of the Solway Harvester tragedy should unfold next month.

Coroner Michael Moyle will conclude the inquest into the deaths of the seven crewmen, nearly nine years after the fishing vessel sank eleven miles off the east coast of the Isle of Man.

The inquests opened shortly after the sinking in January 2000, but they have been delayed due to failed criminal action against vessel owner Richard Gidney, and his initial refusal to give evidence at the inquest.
