Webis on the up

Egaming company Webis Holdings, based in Nelson Street, Douglas has increased its turnover by almost 30 per cent over the last year.

The company, in Viking House, has released its preliminary results for the year to the end of May.

The company saw earnings rise from almost ?87 million to ?117.2 million, thanks to a 40 per cent rise in its sportsbook betinternet.com and a 23 per cent rise in turnover of its European Wagering Services.

Chairman of Webis Holdings Denham Eke says administration costs fell by 2.8% on a 'like for like' basis over the twelve months.

He says trading for the first quarter of the current year was ahead of the board's expectations.
