Chief Minister Tony Brown has confirmed the government has no policy on allowing 16 year-olds to drink in pubs.
In Tynwald today he dismissed suggestions from Michael MHK David Cannan that the issue had been discussed by the Council of Ministers.
The issue was debated in the Island after Deputy Chief Constable Gary Roberts said during a public meeting that teenagers might be less at risk if they were allowed into pubs.
