Cannan withdraws motion

Michael MHK David Cannan's motion of urgent public importance with regards to depositors' compensation was withdrawn from the Tynwald order paper this afternoon.

He intended to ask the Treasury Minister to bring an amended scheme forward for approval, on or before Thursday of this week.

However, it had been made clear to Tynwald earlier in the day the matter was already in hand.
