Demonstration against dog bye-laws

by isleofman.com 22nd October 2008
Dog owners say they received a great level of support from the public, when they staged a protest before the October Tynwald got under way.

Up to 50 people, along with 30 dogs, were outside the front doors as members arrived for the first sitting of the new legislative session.

They were protesting about Douglas Corporation's new regulations banning dogs from its parks, and want members to discuss new bye-laws in the capital.

It's understood the front doors of the building were locked and members entered via the rear doors.
