Langness report put back two months

by isleofman.com 22nd October 2008
A pressure group says it's disappointed the Langness footpath issue still hasn't been resolved.

A delegation of Tynwald members had been due to report to this month's sitting with an update on discussions with the land owners.

However, that has been put off until December.

Spokesman for Public Rights of Way Langness - PRoWL - hopes the row over access won't drag on any longer than the end of the year.

He told Manx Radio:

"If Mr Cannan's team have managed to come up with a possible solution, then that will be the way to go.

"If a solution continues to avoid the best efforts of the delegation then we look to the Department of Transport to do what it set out to do almost a year ago, and hold an inquiry."
