The Isle of Man's recently improved depositor protection scheme will be the focus of discussion when Tynwald resumes at 10.30 this morning.
A lengthy debate is expected as more detailed plans come before the court, a fortnight after an emergency sitting when it was agreed to increase individual depositors' protection from ?15,000 to ?50,000.
Among the proposals down for consideration today will be a plan to offer depositor protection to charities and businesses to a maximum of ?20,000.
The sitting will go ahead as normal in the chamber, although for a while last night it looked as if an alternative venue might have to be found.
The main court at Douglas courthouse and a suite at the Villa Marina were both considered, after a fire scare late yesterday afternoon which led to government offices, the courts and Tynwald being evacuated.
An electrical fault in the basement of government offices caused the problem.
There will be full, live coverage of all today's business in Tynwald on Manx Radio's AM 1368 service from 10.30 this morning.
