Appeal for "Eggs-emplary" behaviour

by isleofman.com 27th October 2008
Shopkeepers are being advised not to sell eggs and flour to youths in a bid to cut out anti-social behaviour over Halloween.

The Isle of Man Constabulary is promising a visible level of policing to stop children from causing their neighbours distress.

Crimes related to Halloween fell last year, and police are hoping that trend will continue.

Douglas' Schools Liason Officer Constable Steve Stanley has been visiting schools to warn students their actions will have consequences (audio file attached):

(Image: A poster, copies of which have been distributed as part of the campaign. It says: "This shop is operating a restriction on the sale of flour and eggs to young people". The words in black are: "Please help the Isle of Man Constabulary in reducing Criminal Damage and Anti-Social behaviour". The busiest night for "Trick or Treaters" will be this Friday, October 31).
