by isleofman.com 28th October 2008
Manx driver Mark Higgins just missed out on a podium finish at the Stadte Rallye in Germany on Saturday.

After a race long battle with Hermann Gassner, he had to settle for fourth spot in his MG S2000 car.

The event was won by Anton Werner for the third year in a row.

Across the Atlantic, Grand National Cross-Country series double champion David Knight took part in the final round of the year.

However, having clinched the bike title two races ago, he entered the quad bikes for a bit of fun at the Ironman, Crawfordsville, Indiana.

Knighter finished 22nd in the pro-class and 49th overall out of 228 competitiors.
