There will be a chance to learn all about Britain's Victorian piers at a lecture at the Manx Museum later this week.
A presentation called 'Piers of the realm - and some beyond' will be given by Professor Gavin Henderson, the president of the National Piers Society.
The lecture will feature the Queen's Pier in Ramsey.
Professor Henderson says the structure has great potential and it would be a shame to lose it (audio file attached):
The lecture will be at the Manx Museum, from 7.30pm on Friday.
