Inquest opened and adjourned

by isleofman.com 30th October 2008
An inquest in Douglas has heard a Peel woman died from carbon monoxide poisoning.

The body of 49 year-old Martina Reed was found by her husband, when he returned home from work last Thursday afternoon.

Adjourning the inquest to a date to be fixed, Coroner Michael Moyle said the circumstances of the case were fairly straightforward, but there were some medical issues he wanted to look into.

Mrs Reed was described as a retired micro-biological technician, and her home address was Clabane Cottage, Patrick Road, Peel.

Her body was released for cremation and Mr Moyle said he may be able to complete the inquest before the end of the year.
