Man who assaulted police officer bailed

by isleofman.com 31st October 2008
A 35 year-old London man told a court he was too drunk to remember assaulting a police officer.

John Moore admitted he couldn’t recall events as he tried to resist arrest outside the Mitre Hotel in Ramsey on August 30.

The court heard police saw Moore pushing people around him after he was asked to leave the pub.

When outside, he became abusive and struck the officer, while another officer had his shirt ripped and radio phone damaged.

Moore, who admitted the assault charge, was bailed until November 25 for reports.
