Passengers who are taken ill at Ronaldsway Airport will now have access to better medical facilities.
The Department of Health has joined forces with the airport's fire service and security officials to provide a new room equipped to high standard.
The room will be used for anyone who's taken ill while travelling with a nurse escort or if there are delays.
The room will also be where first aid is given to airport passengers and employees.
Transport Minister David Anderson says given the large number of people who pass through the building, it's vital to have the best facilities possible.
Charitable funds from Noble's Hospital have been used to fund the ambulance stretcher, cardiac monitor and a medical treatment trolley.
Health Minister Eddie Teare says the room has been primarily established to offer comfortable and private surroundings should it be needed.
