The Liberal Vannin Party has been rocked by the resignation of six of its elected local authority members.
Four Douglas town councillors and two commissioners are standing down from the party – little over six months after being elected.
It cuts in half the party’s representation on local authorities to just six.
They’ve stood down citing a lack of confidence in the performance and commitment of the Liberal Vannin's unelected executive.
Councillors John Faragher, Richard Kissack, Sara Hackman and Carol Malarkey are joined by Michael commissioner Michael Neary and Onchan commissioner Steve Babb in severing links with the party.
