Harris TT return fundraiser set up

by isleofman.com 5th November 2008
An appeal has been set up to help a double TT winner return to the Island for next year's event.

Shaun Harris cheated death after a high-speed crash at Union Mills during last year’s Superstock race and missed this year’s event as a result.

But despite the serious injuries he suffered the Kiwi rider has often spoken of his desire to return, including during the 2007 event when he phoned Manx Radio TT: (audio clip attached)

It was recently announced Harris would ride a Wilson Craig Racing-prepared Honda in the 600 Supersport class at TT 2009, if the money to get him over here can be raised.

So the Return from Hell campaign has been set up by his UK manager John Hope, who says, "The only doubt remaining is whether I can secure the necessary funding to ensure Shaun gets this chance; this is my appeal to the fans. I believe Shaun has earned the right to be there!"
