Guernsey worries over Darling remarks

by isleofman.com 7th November 2008
After the Isle of Man, it’s Guernsey’s turn to wonder exactly what Alistair Darling meant about examining relationships with the Crown Dependencies.

Guernsey’s Chief Minister Lyndon Trott says he is asking for clarification about Mr Darling’s comments at the UK Treasury Select Committee on Monday.

Mr Trott says he wants to know whether there are potential implications for the Crown Dependencies.

The Manx government has also requested meetings and has written to the Labour government in the UK over the chancellor’s comments.
