More MEA evidence today

by isleofman.com 7th November 2008
Two of the Manx government's top legal advisers will answer questions about the Manx Electricity Authority this morning.

Government advocate Stephen Harding and Attorney General John Corlett will go before the five-strong Select Committee of Tynwald charged with looking into the authority's affairs.

Proceedings will start with Mr Harding at 10.30, with Mr Corlett giving evidence an hour later.

Members of the public are welcome to attend at the Legislative Buildings in Douglas.

Among other things, the committee is interested in the MEA's apparent non-compliance with financial regulations, during a period of infra-structure renewal from the early 90s.
