A Labour MP has made a fresh call for the Kaupthing Singer and Friedlander issue to be resolved quickly.
On Thursday evening in the House of Commons, Wakefield MP Mary Creagh tabled a debate on behalf of depositors who face losing their life savings.
She said she couldn’t accept the bank’s collapse was the fault of the United Kingdom government which seized the company’s assets in the UK.
