Former manager of Noble's Hospital Paul Shields has died, after a short illness.
He arrived in post shortly after the move to the new Noble's in 2003 and tribute was paid to his contribution to the smooth transition to the new building, when his retirement was announced in the Autumn of last year.
The DHSS says Mr Shields was a respected and popular manager of Noble's, and his many colleagues and friends in the department are greatly saddened by his loss.
Mr Shields passed away in Noble's Hospital on Thursday.
