Gardening enthusiasts who have applied for an allotment at the Braaid are invited to a public meeting this afternoon.
The gathering will give those behind the scheme a chance to assess interest in the seven acres being offered up for use.
President of the Manx National Farmers Union Howard Quayle (pictured) says he’s been overwhelmed by the response so far and has had to move the meeting to the Braaid Hall, a bigger venue.
He is hopeful everyone who applies will be given an allotment and says the plots will be substantial pieces of land (audio file attached):
The meeting at the Braaid Hall starts at 2.30pm.
