Brown sends personal message to Obama

by isleofman.com 8th November 2008
Chief Minister Tony Brown has congratulated United States president-elect Barack Obama on his victory in this week's election.

A delegation from the Isle of Man met with the then Senator Obama's senior tax counsel last year, and Mr Brown hopes this relationship can be strengthened in the future.

The chief minister says he was impressed with the energy and inspiration of Mr Obama (pictured) during his campaign.

Many Americans with a Manx background remain highly interested in the Island, which Mr Brown says gives us a strong link with the United States.
