MHK and colleagues to unveil youth plans

by isleofman.com 10th November 2008
A recently formed Youth Task Force is publishing a report today on how to address the needs of young people in the Isle of Man.

The group is made up of members of the House of Keys and local authorities, and has been set up independantly from government.

It's calling itself a "think tank" and was established following calls during the 2006 general election for elected representatives to do more for young people.

The group has come up with some recommendations for the government to consider, and will unveil a report for Youth Provision at a media briefing this afternoon.

The group is made up of MHKs Juan Watterson and Bill Malarkey, Douglas councillors David Ashford, Richard Kissack, Sara Hackman, Carol Malarkey, and John Faragher, and Onchan commissioner Steve Babb.
