Emergency at Ronaldsway

There was a full turnout of fire, police and ambulance crews at Ronaldsway at lunchtime, when a plane was forced to make an emergency landing.

Roads in the area were closed for around 15 minutes while the aircraft touched down.

There have been no details about any injuries to passengers or crew, although the emergency personnel were stood down, and the roads around the airport reopened, shortly before 1pm.
